Nancy Singelman started playing guitar at the age of four years old when her mother, a singer/songwriter, gifted Nancy her first guitar. Her mother was a big influence on Nancy’s music and even encouraged her to write her own songs. This continued and when she was 11 Nancy began writing poetry and songs that reflected her life experiences. At the age of 17 she put together her first band with Anita Visser, where they worked on original songs. At 19 she met her lifelong friend, Richard Huebner, and they formed “Peace Frog'' and played at parties and other social events around Santa Barbara. The band encouraged Nancy to hone her craft by going to Dick Grove School of Music in Studio City. While she was attending, Nancy learned how to play the bass, the art of songwriting, and was able to sing with various well known musicians around the Los Angeles area. While she was attending classes she worked at a recording studio called Schlessmusic as the studio manager and music pitch person at songwriter showcases, which helped her gain the tools that have helped her throughout the years. For each band Nancy was in she organized the show bookings, created marketing materials, and was considered the band manager. Nancy re-located to the Tampa Bay area and built a recording studio in her home. She taught children the art of songwriting and recorded many of her great songs with top notch musicians.
Tragically Nancy’s mother died when she was 25, and this changed her life forever. She went back home to Santa Barbara and began writing new material. Since moving back to Santa Barbara Nancy has been part of the bands “Nancy’s Chance,” “Lost and Found,” “Edumacated” and has done many cameo appearances with bands as the lead singer.
Nancy has always been fond of teaching and decided to get her Master’s degree in Education and her Special Education Teaching Credential. While she was working on those degrees, she worked with recording producer/musician, Ken Field. They created her CD, “Out of my Hands.” Nancy had several great musicians on her album including Teresa Russell and Barry Birmingham. After gaining her Master’s and credential, Nancy started to produce concerts for special events and fundraisers all around the Santa Barbara and the Ventura county area. She would produce multiple shows at one time and even managed 12 bands at one time for a benefit concert. Ace Pro Music has continued to produce benefit concerts for over 28 years. She has produced concerts like Rock the Vote, Strumming for Kids, So Cal Strong and many more. Her most recent benefit concerts Phoenix Rising in Ojai and the Wine Cellar Concert Series in Buellton which helped to raise funds for musicians impacted by the Pandemic. Nancy really enjoys giving back to the community and works on passion projects to help communities and those affected by hardship. She will continue to help musicians with bookings, produce concerts to help communities and support those in need through concert production and event fundraising.
Corinn Conant has always had a passion for music. She has been performing since she was a child, learning to accompany herself on guitar at the age of 11. Corinn has performed around Ventura to save up to put herself through college since the age of 14. Corinn has now achieved that goal, graduating from California Lutheran University in 2020 with a Bachelor's degree in Music. Since graduating she has continued to pursue her music career and has even taken up more of the business side of music, as well as performance. Corinn now works with Ace Pro Music as the Marketing and PR Coordinator. She is very excited for this path and to see what the future holds!
